Bruce Lee's Fighting Method: Self Defence Techniques Review

Bruce Lee's Fighting Method: Self Defence Techniques Review

'Bruce Lee's Fighting Method' is an extremely practical book about street combat. Such books are rare, very rare, since unfortunately bad and impractical books on self defence are not.

The book was compiled by Lee in co-operation with his good friend Mr Uyehara of Ohara Publications. The techniques used in the street fighting sequences mirror the very basic concepts outlined in the 'Tao of Jeet Kune Do'.

That Bruce Lee One Inch Punch

That Bruce Lee One Inch Punch

The years that led up to Bruce Lee's great period, that time when his name became almost a household word, have been written about and explored and analysed.

The rise to fame, riches and power: the sad, untimely end, were they connected? Is there still room to ponder whether there was a mark of fate on him?

Jeet Kune Do - The Leading Hand

Jeet Kune Do - The Leading Hand

The efficient use of the leading hand is a science all of its own. In the section of Bruce's book describing the leading straight punch, there are a group of illustrations titled "The Elusive Lead."

Very little explanation accompanies these drawings, but they could be categorized into two basic thoughts - the elusive path of the punching hand itself and the elusive body motion that may accompany any leading punch.

Bruce Lee Had a Dream

Bruce Lee was just an ordinary individual who had a dream. The difference between him and most people was that he decided to do something about it. He knew that in order to realize his dream of becoming number one martial artist it would take more than just determination and drive. It would also take the patience to learn and understand all facets of the martial arts so that he could eliminate the unnecessary and keep only that which was essential.

Bruce Lee, Jeet Kune-Do and Siu Kee Lun

Bruce Lee, Jeet Kune-Do and Siu Kee Lun

In the development of Kung Fu action movies, the contribution made by Siu Kee Lun is second to none. As a stuntman and Kung Fu advisor, for most of the time Siu Kee Lun had been the unsung hero of the screen.

For his role, Siu Kee Lun has to be able to meet the exacting needs to perform acrobatic and fighting feats and to direct the others in the smooth filming of those spectacular and exciting fighting sequences which we come to expect on the screen.
